Simple Card

I don't about you but I do like to gather lots of tools and then they sit in a box.  I've put myself on a stash diet (until I see the next must have item, probably)  I painted and embossed some recycled cardstock and then using my Fiskars shape cutter and butterfly template cut the shapes out and layered them up to make this card.

Art Journaling

Last October I attended a weekend of Art Journalling with Linda Knight of Just Scrapbooking .  It was lots of fun and as always Linda helps you step outside your comfort zone and try something new.

When looking through my journal I could see I used the same font on most pages.  For this I cut letters from magazines.  It doesn't show well in the photo, but part of it is sprayed gold.

She also showed us how to create shapes using a flexi ruler. The spaces were painted using watercolour inks.

I'm not 100% sure I've finished it, but that's the great thing about Art Journalling, you can go back and add to it.

Topiary tree

I've tried making paper flowers myself, but get frustrated when they aren't quite right so was delighted when I discovered Samaflora. I was even more delighted when I was accepted onto their DT.

Here's a topiary tree I made using the most wonderful vellum and cream roses.

The flowers were spritzed with heirloom gold perfect pearl mist and a dab of glue in the centre of the petals sprinkled with holographic gold glitter.

Here's a close up of the flowers :

Well I haven't blogged for ages and I've decided it's about time I started sharing my creations and ramblings again.

At the moment I've been trying to use up my scraps ( I hate throwing any tiny bits of paper away) and play with ideas, so have been making ATC's.  It's a great way to try things out and then pass onto other people.

Here are a few of my recent creations, we had a Charity Crop for BUST last weekend and I wanted to give everyone who came something as a thank you for their support.  We haven't got a final figure yet, as money is still coming in from people who couldn't come.

Thanks for looking.

Have a fun day, whatever you do with it. Lynne x
